Premiere Films was founded in 1994 by C.P.A Ismael Nieves-Rivera; Esq. as an independent (theatrical) motion pictures distribution/marketing company with the added capabilities of managing, store and transport 35mm prints / digital content as well as exhibitor relations.

Since its inception, Premiere Films has become a key player in the local motion pictures industry by exclusively representing in Puerto Rico Lionsgate, Relativity Media, CBS Films, Focus Features and many other studios.

Premiere Films have released award-winning features such as "Crash" and "Precious" and many box office hits such as the "SAW" franchise, "The Twilight Saga", "The Hunger Games", "The Divergent Series" and "The Expendables" through Lionsgate, "The Transporter" Franchise, "The Woman In Black 2" and "The Lazarus Effect" through Relativity Media, "Beastly", "The Back Up Plan", "Faster", "Last Vegas" and "The Mechanic" through CBS Films and "Insidious" Franchise, and "The Boxtrolls" through Focus Features.
